Avalokiteshvara Mandala Thangka

A mandala represents the sacred abode of a deity, and this one is built around Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of compassion known as Chenrezig. Practitioners use it as a visual aid for meditation, a map that guides the mind toward compassion and inner peace. Our artists hand-paint this piece in Kathmandu using natural mineral pigments, organic cotton canvas, and genuine 24K gold.
